Love Investment

Love is an investment, in fact, it is the greatest investment. No one can underestimate the power of love and the wonderful things wrapped around every second of loving. Love can surpass anything, a person just have to believe in it. Various people experience love uniquely from time to time and what is more amazing is that, even in the most extraordinary and unexpected moments, love is always present and it never fails.

Thousand heartbeats kept on making my chest ache too much, and it beats even faster when I am coming closer to the reality of love. It is not a fairy tale nor an easy-happy-ever-after. It is an effortful encounter with the other person, both exciting and scary. It is in simple encounters that two people become more aware of who they are and to what extent of themselves are they willing to share to the other. Each moment, whether big or small, is always treasured as if it is one of the best memories of a lifetime. The happiest moment in love is when the other person is also relieved by the happiness shared to them, whatever it takes, and whatever situation they are in, as long as they still have each other, they will choose to be happy and protect the love binding them together.

I guess the most difficult moment would be to see the one you love walking away from you, and when you are in that moment, you need to make a choice between chasing the one who’s walking the other way or accepting the fact of regrets again. The choice is up to each and every one of us. The choice would be what your heart really desires. For me, I feel that I have waited long enough for the most special person in my life to come, and he was given to me that I am willing to protect the love that we have whatever, whenever and however life challenges us. The longevity is not enough to prove any love, it is by keeping the love alive that proves any kind of love.

Half of a year might be short for some and might be infinity for some. For me, half of a year is a symbolism of a strong relationship willing to count more days and more infinities together. We love, we fight, at times, we ignore each other’s rants and undeniably crazy conversations, but here we are, remaining still and learning from one another every day. Not every day would be aligned to the goals and dreams of love, there will be times when both will be bound to challenges always keeping a choice at hand. Maybe, that is one thing I am always grateful for, that both of us keeps one choice, and that is to stay, and never ever let go.

This is just the beginning, more is yet to come. Let us count more infinities and spread more love, perhaps, one of the most amazing things we can do in preparing for Christmas. By the way, it will be our first Christmas together and it is heartfelt, more than words, because there are two less lonely people in the world. “Love is patient and kind.” I guess, we always have to remember that in different ways of expressing love to others. Seventeen days before Christmas. Amazing, just amazing.
